How do you get to the beach on Block Island? Walk in any direction: the entire perimeter of the 3-by-7 mile island is virtually lined with them, 17 miles worth and all free and open to the public. Don't want to go to the beach? No problem.
There is more to Block Island than gorgeous beaches. With more than 50 stores and specialty shops, and numerous art galleries, Block Island offers a diverse shopping experience. The Island's plentiful shops offer casual souvenirs as well as unique gifts from around the world and antiques.
Join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department on Saturday, July 19th. Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 7:00 am and we will arrive at the Pt Judith Ferry around 9:00 am where you will be booked to get on the 9:30 ferry to Block Island. You will have until the return ferry at 3:00 pm to explore Block Island on your own at your own pace. Trip will return to Merrimack at approximately 6:00 pm. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited!
Trip is open to both residents & non-residents. Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an Adult.

Note:
Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride in Nashua
If you register for this trip but later decide that you cannot attend, you must notify the Parks & Recreation office at least 10 business days prior to the start of the trip and you will be charged a $10 administrative processing fee for each cancelled registration. Cancellations less than 10 days before the trip will result in a loss of registration fee.
