2687a - Kitchen Fundamentals.

A 2.5-Hour Hands-On Cooking Class with Chef AJ Lucas
Learn the techniques that make you a better cook.
Move beyond simply following recipes and learn how professional chefs approach cooking. This interactive, chef-led class focuses on practical techniques you can use in your own kitchen every day.
WHAT WE’LL COVER
• Knife Skills — proper handling, cutting techniques and kitchen efficiency
• Seasoning & Flavor — balancing salt, acid, fat, herbs and spices
• Heat & Technique — when to sear, sauté, roast and finish
• Sauces — the fundamentals of pan sauces, reductions and finishing sauces
• Tasting Like a Chef — how to taste, adjust and build confidence while cooking
THE EXPERIENCE
This is a hands-on class, not simply a demonstration. Chef AJ will demonstrate each technique, then participants will have the opportunity to practice, cook, taste and plate throughout the class.
We’ll finish by sitting down together to enjoy the food and discuss the techniques used.
