2687 - Safe Sitter Babysitting Course

The Safe Sitter Babysitting Course prepares students to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn how to practice important safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and treat illnesses and injuries.

Participants will learn tips to manage behavior along with the ages and stages of child development. Class will also include rescue skills such as choking rescue and CPR and how to assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Lastly this course will teach participants how to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers to set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays.

The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students who complete the course receive a Safe Sitter® Completion Certificate.
